This was my very first music festival, I had no idea what to expect going into it, I did know that I wasn't very keen on going to it, Throughout the day it got increasingly busy and over 18s got drunker and drunker. I was actually scared to be there by the time it was dark. This will be my first and last music festival, I did not enjoy it very much!
Not only did I not enjoy this festival very much, it was also very dirty, and people just left their rubbish everywhere. Not a fan of this at all!!!

Birds Of Tokyo
These guys are a five piece band, they were very good live and sounded very similar to their CDs. We were front of the mosh pit for their set and failed to realise how big the crowd behind us was when we tried to leave it. We were walking for ages and pushing past people (this is not easy when it is dark). Birds Of Tokyo were very much so a rock band to see them live, I don't know what their older music is like so it is probably similar to this. It was amazing to see them perform their song Plans and have the entire mosh singing along to it, this is a moment that makes me very excited and give a rush that can't be explained. I just love hearing and seeing the whole crowd get so into a performance and sing along to it like they did. I don't know what the singer is usually like at a performance, but I can say that during this performance he was gone, he was high, or drunk, or something, but not all there.
I was also able to meet this band prior to their performance. This band was very rude to meet their fans and didn't seem like they wanted to be there. Simple, if they don't want to meet their fans, don't do it! Far out, they looked down the whole time and hardly spoke a word to us.

Gotye
Although I was not 100% watching Gotye while he was performing, I was right next to a speaker and heard the entire performance. I can't comment on his stage presence because I didn't see it. But from what I heard, this band is very weird! Their music is very electronic and strange. Words can't really explain what this guy sounded like! Let's face it... He had a recording of a Vodafone call in one of his songs!

Gyroscope
I know one song by this band. They were very good live, their sound was amazing. The crowd seemed to interact very well with them while they were on stage and appeared to love it! They did have a blow up sex doll crowd surfing in the mosh pit which I have to say was very entertaining to see what people were doing to it if it happened to land on them!

The Jezabels
I watched about half of this band as I had heard really good reviews and opinions about them. This band were really good to see, and full of energy. I didn't know any of their songs so can't comment on their setlist but they were great performers with a really good live sound!

Washington
I mainly went to this music festival to see her. We were front of the mosh pit for her performance. She was just amazing! Although I was a little disappointed to see that she was smoking and drinking beer while on stage. Her setlist was all her best songs. She has an amazing live sound, as does the rest of her band. Her presence on stage is great and she is really good at what she does. I would definitely see her again!

Overall for my first music festival I rate it two stars out of five.

My next concert is Kylie Minogue in June.
